Sydney First for Electronic Toll Tags

Roam Express e-TAG® 90¢* per month

In response to consumer demand, Tollaust Pty Ltd the distributor of Roam Express e-TAG is pleased to announce an alternative to paying the $40 per tag security deposit – a 90¢* per tag per month rental option.

Instead of paying an upfront tag deposit fee of $40 per tag, consumers will be able to rent a tag for 90¢* per month as of 1 June 2005.

This makes Roam Express e-TAG the first tag supplier in Sydney not to require a $40 deposit per tag in order to open an account.

General Manager Tollaust, Mr Clive Cutler said of the initiative, "We have listened to consumer demand and believe that this will satisfy people who wish to have the $40 upfront fee remain in their pocket, rather then be held in our bank account.

With this new tag rental initiative an Roam Express e-TAG account can now be opened for nothing more than the initial $50 pre-paid toll credit, no matter how many tags the customer wants. Customers will no longer have to pay over $90 (a $40 per tag deposit and $50 pre-paid toll credit) to open a tag account."

The offer is available to all new and existing customers. Existing customers who wish to change to this new tag rental arrangement will be refunded their current $40 per tag security deposit.

Rental will commence the beginning of the first full month after an account is opened or when an existing customer elects to go onto the program. Monthly rental will then be automatically deducted from the customers Roam Express e-TAG Account on the first day of each month.
