Tollaust Privacy Policy

This privacy statement is provided by Tollaust Pty Limited (ABN: 37 050 538 693) ("Tollaust") in relation to the information we collect about you, from which your identity is apparent or can reasonably be ascertained ("personal information"). This statement provides you with important information regarding your privacy rights. It also includes details of organisations to which Tollaust may disclose your personal information.

What Personal Infomation Do We Collect?

Your Customer Account: In order to process your application for an Roam Express e-TAG Account and to maintain and administer your Account and your use of an Roam Express e-TAG, we may require your personal details such as your name, address, telephone number, licence plate number(s), vehicle type(s) and financial details.

Contacting Us: When you call Tollaust we may monitor and record your telephone conversations with us for staff training and service quality control purposes. We may also retain the content of any email you send to us.

Using the Motorway

1. When using an Roam Express e-TAG on a motorway to pay a toll, the following information may be recorded:
   1. The location of your Roam Express e-TAG on the motorway.
   2. The time of day.
   3. The direction in which the vehicle was travelling.
   4. Your account status.
2. An image of your vehicle and its Licence Plate Number may also be collected and recorded automatically when you pass through a toll plaza and do not pay the appropriate Toll, or if your Roam Express e-TAG does not function correctly. This image may be used for infringement processing.
3. For the safety of staff and other motorway users motorways employ video surveillance throughout their facilities and as such security cameras may record an image of you or your vehicle.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information & Who Do We Disclose It To?

The personal information we collect in connection with customer accounts is primarily used to process applications for an Roam Express e-TAG Account and, if an Roam Express e-TAG is issued, to maintain the Roam Express e-TAG Account and to administer the use of the Roam Express e-TAG on motorways. Personal information may also be used for internal purposes such as procedural assessments and to administer our customer relationships. When you complete and return an application form you also agree that we may use and disclose your personal information in the following ways. If you do not provide any of the information required, we may not be able to appropriately manage your Roam Express e-TAG Account or fulfil these functions.

1. Tollaust:
   Travel Time: Tollaust may use aggregated Roam Express e-TAG data to calculate travel time between points on a motorway. It will not be possible to correlate the data collected to your individual data.
   Marketing: We will not disclose your personal details to any other organisation for marketing purposes. We may use the details on your account to advise you of new or updated products or services from ourselves. Please let us know if you do not wish to receive such materials and we will remove you from our mailing list.
2. Our contractors and service providers:
   We may provide your personal information to organisations to which we have outsourced some of our functions such as mailing houses and IT contractors (service providers) to enable them to provide those services to us.
3. Nominated Financial Institution:
   We may exchange relevant information with financial institutions nominated on your account to process transactions. In addition where you are in default on the account we may notify and exchange personal information where appropriate with credit agencies and/or our collection agent.
4. Roads and Traffic Authority:
   Tollaust is obliged to transfer information to the Roads and Traffic Authority for the purposes of infringement processing and management of the Cashback scheme. This information may include images of your vehicle and its Licence Plate Number and the details of a particular usage of a motorway.
5. Law Enforcement Agencies:
   We will make personal information available to law enforcement or regulatory agencies only if Tollaust is legally obliged or authorised to do so.
6. Research Institutions:
   Tollaust may occasionally provide de-identified or anonymous data to other organisations or traffic authorities for traffic research purposes. In such cases Tollaust will ensure that there will be no means of correlating the data to your individual data.
7. Other Tag Issuers:
   If arrangements under which Tollaust administers your use of an Roam Express e-TAG are terminated, or if Tollaust assigns or novates its rights and obligations to a third party, Tollaust may need to disclose your personal information to another party to enable that party to manage your account or to enter into a similar arrangement with you. Tollaust will not share your personal information with another party unless that party agrees to:
   • Adopt equivalent information handling practices: or
   • Inform you of changes to those commitments to enable you to close your account should you wish to do so.
8. Motorways:
   By using an Roam Express e-TAG on a motorway you accept that such motorway will have access to information about your Roam Express e-TAG but not about your individual customer data.

Your Customer Record

All personal information collected by Tollaust about you will be kept secure and you usually have the right of access to, or modification of, your record at any time. If we cannot provide access, we will tell you why.
